It is real but I think it has been fully restored. The brass inside the guards and the scales shouldn't be that shiny no matter how it was stored. But I do think those scales are original as that scaley texture you see to the right of the safety is what really old horn looks like after you sand/polish it.

If it is not too much trouble, could you take pic looking in to the handle with the blade open?

Yes will do, I did clean the brass inside the knife,
