It's a pretty good looking knife.
Re: New Frank B swing Guard??
I think the horn on that one is really nice, but I don't care for the tactical look of the blade. Just call me a traditionalist when it comes to Italian swing guards.

I’m pretty sure the seller has a “customizer’s” assistance.

Cheese Knife ?
Re: New Frank B swing Guard??
They are coming straight from Italy like this and I believe right from Frank, was offered one a few months ago from a friend in Italy, I'm kinda like Jim D and like my swinguards from the 60's. But I did have to think about it as they are pretty sharp looking knives.

The series of penetrations in the blade are interesting looking, but the one near the point could weaken it. Not that these things are really meant for serious work. In any case I would prefer that the holes be graduated in size and start further back from the point.

All of the holes weaken the blade, and they offer absolutely no advantage.

Those holes running down the center of the blade are a major turn off. I’d say stick with a traditional flat grind or dagger grind.
Re: New Frank B swing Guard??
These are also available with a regular dagger blade.
I got this one about 5 months ago.

Thanks for your thoughts. I don't like it at all. It is from Frank and not modified by anyone. I think it cheapens the style and makes it look too Mall Ninja like. Horn is nice
Re: New Frank B swing Guard??
Maybe hiding a poor centerline grind...lol. Tom
Re: New Frank B swing Guard??
I don’t like it. The blade makes the knife looks like a Chinese knock off. Give me a dagger, bayonet, flat grind, kris, swedge anything but that blade.

Re: New Frank B swing Guard??
There’s been quite a few knives “modified” by Rubens Blades. I had assumed this was one of them. Pretty shocked it’s straight from Frank B. As if the oval sear pin hole wasn’t enough.
