KERPER 13" Kriss
Here is the other knife I said I'd post, Its a name I'm not familiar with.
I own a few different Kriss blades but I found this huge green knife, I also contacted Walt on this and he believes it could have been made for the German market? But by who it hard to tell. Any info welcome. note The tang stamp has (made Italy) missing the 'in'
Thanks Dave.

Re: KERPER 13" Kriss
My 15" purple knife is also marked just "MADE ITALY" without the word "in".
I would be interested in seeing any others that are out there!
Does anyone know whether this anomaly can be traced to a specific supplier or shop....?

The big Kriss blade is a beauty! I can’t imagine why Walt would have suggested it was made for the German market though. But, “The more I know, the less I understand”.

Kerper could have been a German company, but I don't recall ever seeing a 13 that I knew came from Germany.

Thanks Bill ! Nice to know where it originated....!
Speaking of handle replacement: has anyone ever used clear acrylic?
It would be fun to see through it and observe the button mechanisms!

It would be difficult or impossible to polish the inside where the cuts are. All you would see is frosty areas. Especially the safety slot/area.button_man wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 1:56 pm Thanks Bill ! Nice to know where it originated....!

the material can be machined clear butt needs to be flooded with coolant to keep the cutter cool.Bill DeShivs wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 7:19 pmIt would be difficult or impossible to polish the inside where the cuts are.
