Wow! It’s one of my favorites too. The horn is spectacular. It’s a really awesome knife.

I really like this switchblade and the beautiful horn, it’s like everything was tailored made and belongs together. Just a fantastic example of a very rare and enigmatic beauty! Enjoy 👍

A TB member sent me a pm wanting to know if my Edwin Jay had a "D" cut and I said yes. He also has one with "no cutout" and wanted to know which was the oldest. I believe the "square" cutout came first and the "D" was second. I would assume the one with none would be later. What are your thoughts?

I was under the impression that the tabbed brackets came first. I’ve also been known to be mistaken lol.

If it has no cutouts, the knife would be earlier.

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but I'm searching info. on the "square" cutouts and their production order myself.

I would think the square cutouts would be earlier.
The "D" brackets would probably be easier on the punch,die and liners.
