Newbie Here

Post by WheelingWV »

I’m a newbie to this forum. I’ve been lurking here for quite some time and just wanted to say thanks for the education. This is a great place to learn. Much to Wifee’s consternation, I’ve started a collection. I’ll be posting pics of my acquisitions when they arrive. Thanks for having me, y’all.... Best regards... Mark

Thank you, Mike. Only five sins thus far. (Knife sins, anyway)

Ooops, my first post and I’m already breaking the rules. (I wasn’t supposed to introduce myself here!) Sorry about that.

My recent purchases, all from Latama.

9” Walt’s Classic (abalone handles)
11” Walt’s Classic (abalone handles)
11” Walt’s Custom Classic (wenge wood handles)
(On 8/14/2020 Thom was surprised no one had grabbed it... I’ll make sure Wifee blames this one on you, Thom!)
11” Walt’s Custom Classic (cocobolo handles)
11” Walt’s Custom Classic (amboyna grain burl wood handles picklock)

I’ll post pics after they’re all here.

Thx again for having me here, folks.

Hi Mark,
Welcome!!! To the never ending knife show!!!
You’re off to an incredible start with the knives you purchased from Walt/Latama. They are the best modern stilettos to be had in the US. Abalone is one of my favorite scale materials.
can’t wait to see them.

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words everyone. I’ll post pictures of my Latamas after they’ve all arrived. As I’m sure you know, Walt is very quick to get orders in the mail. Thanks again! Oh, and Thom, I won’t get you in trouble with your wife if you don’t get me in trouble with mine.😂
