My new Kershaw Launch 8

Post by Snickers »

Just in today. I need a better camera though. I think this knife got ball bearings, it opens with a snap!

Nice one. Looks like it is very sharp and pointy. Did it come with a box of band-aids?

It should right? It is sharp and pointy. Very nice CPM154 steel. I found a site selling it for $79.99. Others want $99.99 for it. Sweet.

When you find a good deal you could post where you found it, unless you would have to kill us if you told us. Nice knife!

Reminds me of the Protech Don.

One of the nicest in the Launch series in my humble opinion.

It sure is. It is solid and I swear it's got ball bearings.

No bearings in my launch 8.

Blade doesn't have a lot of mass in it, spring is wound fairly tightly.

Great bang for the buck though.

I don't typically buy modern switchblades but when I saw this model in teal I had to have one. It is everything the previous posts stated: shaving sharp, well made, great steel etc. Monstro made the comment "great bang for the buck" and that got me thinking about how inexpensive modern American switchblades have become. Thinking back to about 2001 I remember ProTech Godfathers selling out for $400, and that was for the basic model! I paid half that for the jazz model just a few years later and a couple of years after that bought Micretech Mini-UDT and Mini-UMS for about $70 each. Nothing like good old competition....
