WHEW! I grabbed the last one!

Post by Snickers »

I've been drooling over this gorgeous AGA Campolin Zero auto knife for quite some time but the price was out of my reach. Lots of sites had been sold out. I decided that I'm going to wheel and deal and make some extra money by selling stuff that I've accumulated.

I made it. Pics when I get it. :D

I made it 3 day priority mail with signature. Total cost $181 and change. 8)

NOTE: There's a purple one available on this site.

Nice grab , i think you will be pleased, i have one with brown scales and like it a lot , i would like to acquire one of the larger Zero + in the future, i reached out to AGA to see if they might have any in brown to match but was told not at this time.

It's now in shipment! From Las Vegas.

Oh, those Zero Plus... I almost ordered one instead but then it'd be too big for the pocket. Maybe later, must have one. :)

Ok, it came in today. Made in 3-2018 and it must have been handled too much in two years. Scales looked dirty and bottom bolsters have tool marks.

Aside from the cosmetic flaws the knife is... FLAWLESS!

It is solid and I mean solid. No shells, pins nor thin liners. Built like a tank and it opens with force. Hell it's got two springs... no wonder. I can live with the cosmetic scuffs and it's going to be my EDC.

Out of the box, the blade is razor sharp.

I've always wondered why they don't make those flip forward style lever buttons low and wide instead of long and narrow....you'd think it would be quicker to activate a low and wide lever. Nice knife.

I noticed a while ago that the box has been opened. It has a cut circular seal and taped over with a scotch tape. It's supposed to be sold as new, apparently not.

Sorry for your disappointment. Probably was a return.

When I saw your Subject: WHEW! I grabbed the last one!, I thought maybe you were referring to TP at Costco. There has been a run (no pun intended) on paper products as well as sanitizing agents and, of all things, bottled water! Shelves are bare I am getting a bit tired of the Coronvirus panic. I'll stick to nice clean knives, made in the US or maybe Italy.....

Either that (which I doubt) or it was a showcase piece. Apparently I got the last one. It's well made, no complaints.

As to that Corona virus BS, none of the prepping are going to help. I'm old and have a painful medical condition, one bullet is all I need.

Corona, yup, treat it like any othe virus. Use common sense with regards to hand hygiene.
Anyway, nice knife. I'd like one in the future.

Thanks. I think they're getting scarce. Lots of sites are out of them. I don't know if that means it's out of production.

Got a need for a sharpener. I have a worksharp belt sharpener but I don't want to use it on the Zero.

Any suggestions?

I like one called the “Warthog” for my EDC and kitchen knives.

I heard from the vendor about the box. He said that the shipper opened and checked the functions of the knife before shipping. He said he'd be happy to exchange the knives but I said no, I'll keep it. It's just cosmetic and it works well and built solid.
