Those marked C Jul Herbertz Import are seen on the Trapdoor models (and stilettos) which are early 1960s so they definitely weren’t for the US market.

I believe the Italian stiletto I found earlier this year with the AMSTERDAM stamp had Rostfrei Import on the back tang. And it too was found in Germany. So...

So Amsterdam bound knives were marked "import?"

Just the one so far. Nothing is known about that company either but the knife was found in Germany. Maybe the Amsterdam shop has a shop in Germany too.

Did you have the info about Canada or England? I have several receipts from companies sending knives to England and they all mention having the knives stamped FOREIGN.

If you have those receipts, then why are you telling us the "foreign" stamped knives were made for Germany?

I have never said that anywhere. Did you mistype or. Is speak? I said those sent to England were marked “FOREIGN.”

It hardly matters anyway...

You’d have to be happy between $100-$200 depending on the blade if it’s minty or not.

man i have collected the (rostfrei import) stilettos for probably 20+ years they are very nice quality i have probably entire set from smallest to biggest (stiletto model) , i did notice years ago most i found with this stamp were flat grind blades and i think i may have one with swedge blade but been awhile since i had them out of storage

You have all 8 sizes with this stamp?
