So Stilettos are NOT illegal to sell in Italy?
For years I thought Stilettos were produced in Italy for export only.
Well I'm in Venice, and have seen a few for sale in small newsagents / souvenir stores.
Nothing exotic. Faux dark horn or white pearlex. 8 / 9 / 11 inches
Bought an 11 inch dark horn, less spring power than I recall, stiffer bolster release too. Back spring fit is not great either

from what some people have said that they have bought autos in Italy, perhaps a town of the beaten track my have better quality knives, good luck.

What are they selling for price wise? I hear you need a permit to buy if you're an Italian citizen, but ok to but for tourist.

That could explain it. Have passed a couple of dedicated knife stores and no autos in them.
11s are running are running around 55 euro
9s.. 45, 8s were.. 40?
"'Tactical" autos are more my thing, but this one is a souvenir.

Normal price for genuine Italians.... Some European country's banned them completely and some have regulations about Length, the blade style and the guards. In my country 35 years ago we were able to buy small leverlocks, but having a guard would make them a weapon. Law wise.

Thanks for the prices. Seems about the same to a little cheaper than in the US.

Knee-deep in the hoopla...

It's my understanding that switchblades are "forbidden" in Italy. Whatever that means. I'm sure there's good reason that Angelo builds in Italy, but sells from Austria.

For anyone visiting
Both shops are around the area of the McDonalds on Strada
Nova. As you walk uptown from the bus station you can't miss them so long as you pay attention l
A 3rs shop, near the davinci museum, had a few.Spadon OTFs. Their shutter was down today tho. So no pics.
