Bonsa switchblade
I have a Bonsa Switchblade and would like to know the time frame it was mfg. It has bone handles, chrome lever and is marked Bonsa over Soligen over Germany on the front tang and D B G M over Rostifrei on the back tang.

Re: Bonsa switchblade
Thanks! I know Bonsa started making switchblades in the 1950s but I'm not sure when this one was mfg. I tried to upload more pics but I keep getting an error msg. that the file is too large and can't upload.

Those with the square lever are later made like 1970s and 1980s. Cool knife!
Re: Bonsa switchblade
Thanks Friend! Are they more desireable or rare or worth more as I see Bonsa switchblades but very few with the square bolsters?

Re: Bonsa switchblade
I think these are worth $100-$200. I was referring to the rectangle lever itself not the bolsters.

Oh ok. understand Friend. I appreciate the info.

Re: Bonsa switchblade
Bonsa was making switchblades before 1900. Yours dates 1960-early 1970s.
Bonsa closed in the mid 1970s, with assetts purchased by the Robert Klaas company. Klaas is now out of business.
