1960's OTF Italian Trap Door stiletto
sorry guys guess i should have made my own post about these , anyways got these in direct from italy was told by seller that they were recently found by daughters of makers who were cleaning out the old factory where these knives were made, i was told by seller the ones with wire on side are more rare than ones without wire ? and the metal handle ones are more rare than the horn handled ones and the flush button ones are even more rare than any of them lol anyone have any info on these knives company history ? blueprints ? etc... also any idea what these are wort or selling for these days ?

They are going for way more then they should...lol...$600 and up is what I see most often. Beautiful set and the info on which is more rare is correct. I remember these in Italy in the 1970s all over. I didn't like them too much back then, but they are very collectible now....Great find!!!

Awesome find METALGOD! These would make a great section of one of my next books with the patents designs and blueprints and catalogs from Maniago and Prezioso In Rome that I have.
They were designed by a team of two people.
Did the seller or the makers daughter have any other info?

im waiting to hear back if they have any info on history of the company and these knives possibly blueprints. here are pictures of blade they are all swedge blade stamped ( C.jul Herbertz IMPORT) on front and (patent Rostfrei) on back.

Bernie: Those are selling for at least $900.00 each. The metal-handled versions for about $1100.00.

Don't think he would lie about it, they may show up on Sharperdeal auctions. We shall see and with my luck on the lotto I have a better chance of getting shark attacked in a public swimming pool in Indiana.

They are a little stabilizing piece of steel that hold the door in place better. These were added to the later models
