RODUCT DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the look of classic Italian stilettos, the Kershaw Launch 8 modernizes this traditional design for a new generation of knife enthusiasts. The Kershaw Launch 8 features the sleek, symmetrical lines of a stiletto in a push-button knife that’s lightweight—only 2.4 ounces—and easy-to-carry. The blade is CPM 154 with a stonewashed finish. The slim blade is sharpened on one side, and it has a deep top grind to lighten weight and add stiletto style.

The handle is gray anodized aluminum with a handsome carbon fiber insert. To maintain the Launch 8’s symmetrical look, the pivot is sunk deep in the handle and covered by the insert. Integrated finger-guards on both top and bottom of the handle keep fingers away from danger. The Launch 8 also has a reversible pocke tclip (right/left, tip-up) for convenient carry. *By purchasing this knife you are agreeing to our terms & conditions*

I just ordered one from Perry Knifeworks. I'll let everyone know of the quality concerning this new "launch 8".

Stay tuned.

Nice looking design. I don't have a lot of hands-on experience with Kershaw autos, but the few I own are very grip-sensitive: If you hold the handle too tightly or loosely the blade tends to recoil off the stop pin and fail to lock-up consistently. Hopefully they've addressed this tendency with their recent offerings.

The old bounce back syndrome, hate it when that happens. Seen on other forums complaints about Kershaw's with that problem.

I have a Launch 2 which doesn't exhibit this difficulty. For a bit of poetic fun, I am going to nickname my Kershaw Launch 8 "my little apple peeler".

"My little apple peeler" arrived today. The handle is solid, the blade is razor-sharp, the grip is secure. It is just big enough to retain good purchase while still securing excellent handling abilities. It is quite slender and the action has a very strong snap (Typical of Kershaw's standards of high quality). I can open it with two fingers and there is no sign of "bounce back". It just snaps open as if to say, "let's go".

The subdued appearance of this knife lends itself to discrete "urban" carry It can be clipped to my slacks front pocket or be dropped into my sports jacket pocket (no one would notice). The Stiletto blade has a needle-point and an edge that screams "use me, I'm ready".Kershaw's Launch 8 is the best "use oriented" Stiletto I have ever encountered (and that's saying quite a bit). If ever there was a Stiletto blade that's both "show" and "go", this is it. This is a "Royal Flush" if I ever saw one! Like the savvy poker player said as he was dealt a pat hand, "I like what I have". 8)

Buy one (you know you want it).

I prefer a tip down carry option but I'm really liking that knife

The weight is a plus. Don't have to tighten your belt to keep your pants up.
