Info about my 6" swinguard (transitional)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! looking for a little more info on this little beauty. 6 inches total length, 3 inch blade. Straight "ROSTFREI" stamp. No other identifying marks that I am aware of. Extra thick scales, black and white, pearlex? When opened, the blade is cocked at a slight angle from the handle. And that's all I've got... Thank you in advance, for any help you can provide me

Not very old. I think many of these were put together in the early 2000s. And also in stag. Someone will probably know who the man was who put them together.

I was excited to read 6" swinguard, but not a swinguard in this pic ..It's a little imitation horn swivel bolster. Flat grind (plain) blade. Modern production. I don't often see the "banana blade" effect on such a small piece.

I have a 4.75" just like it that, same scales too. It is a newer knife but it has lined bolsters and D-stamps. It looks a lot like those recent 4.5"+5.5" Rostfrei stamps with the different blades but it is noticably higher quality.

Here's my two 6" pieces just like yours, but bayo with stag and honey horn scales. Like JimBrown257 said, full cut brass liners and D-stamps. Nice little knives...

The maker from the 30s thru the 1960?? That’s not true. Elio DiBin passed away probably 50 years ago. It wasn’t Elio.
It was Oreste DiBon. My friend Lucio DiBon was good friends with Oreste who passed away about 5 years ago.
