Opening Problem With Campolin Classic Line Picklock
I recently acquired (from 3 Knives) an 11" Campolin Classic Line Picklock. To get the lock tab to engage, I need to hold the knife very lightly, which, of course, is the opposite of the usual way of ensuring the blade locks open when fired. If I hold the knife firmly when firing the blade, the blade springs back after striking the lock tab. Cleaning and lubricating the knife do not help. I doubt there is anything I can do other than sending it to someone who works on these knives. The knife was not terribly expensive so I am reluctant to send it out for repairs. Thoughts?

Remove all the oil and see how it works.
If that doesn't work- lightly peening the blade pin may help.

Bill, the pin peening worked! (After removing the oil did not). Thanks, again!
