I have been eyeing a 9" AB, ATS-34, Honey Horn, flat grind.
It is on sale for $116.00. (shipping included) on Sharper Deals. (It would make a great "pocket" EDC knife).

These haven't been available for some time. ATS-34 is the best stainless put into a production Italian switch. The price is not really all that bad. However, once you get it you may not want to use it as an EDC,

I bid on the knife ($100.00 + $6 shipping). I'll know in about 4 hours and 20 minutes whether or not I won.

This may sound funny, but it will be my "Sunday go-to-church" carry. Everyone at church (including my Retired Marine Pastor) knows that I carry three pocket knives everywhere I go. Last Sunday I lent out my Ganzo M719 clip-point auto to trim the large center candle on the altar. There's just something about the ATS-34 blade that screams, "carry and use me". (I just love this kind of masculine accouterment).

This ATS-34, Honey Horn, flat-grind beauty is in perfect condition. The knife should compliment my shirt, tie, sports jacket, and slacks quite nicely.
Life is good.

I won the auction! The process begins to have it shipped from Northern Alabama.

I'll be heading to Tijuana next month with some friends for a short 6-day vacation (two of the days will be spent driving). I want this in my hot little hands before I head "south of the border". (I promised some close friends we would eat a Caesar Salad where they were created and to go see the Tijuana Wax Museum). We don't drink or violate any laws. We'll be doing the clean, wholesome "tourist" thing.
I'll leave my knives at home.

Very cool! I saw that knife too and it was a very reasonable price!
Also planning a trip to TJ this December, to meet with a guy I met on the internet... how shady is that? If y'all don't hear from me after December, I guess you can pretty much make a good guess as to what happened...

Be careful in Tijuana. You can guard against pickpockets by staying in the tourist district. The city of Tijuana is noted for its high rate of homicide. That usually takes place among the locals. The city police have really clamped down on fleecing the tourists.Luke_of_Mass wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 1:16 am Very cool! I saw that knife too and it was a very reasonable price!

The knife will be shipped today. If I could change one thing is that It would be a picklock, like the originals. I said it before and I'll say it again. This will make an outstanding carry knife for this old salt. Looks, performance, quality, price, It doesn't get much better than this.
If anyone plans on going to Tijuana, you should eat at the Hotel Caesar's (Home of the original Caesar Salad since 7/4/1924). Great food. Look up the Tijuana Wax Museum as well. (Admission $1.31 USD) It is worth every penny to enjoy the culture/history of Mexico and Latin America.

The 9" AB ATS-34 Honey Horn, flat-grind arrived this morning. It is "as tight as a tick" and fires hard. This will ride comfortably in either my shirt or sports jacket pocket and will stay sharp when called upon for general use (EDC) purposes.
Life is good.
