Are the knives on autoknife.com worth the money or age they over priced ?

I bought one and it was steep. I'd rather buy most of my knives elsewhere for less.

Many of the knives are counterfeits.
The prices are ridiculous.
The information on the site is wrong.
The owner is a sociopathic con man.
What's not to like?

The guy's totally nuts not sure if it was here or bladeforums (maybe both) but he had a couple pretty monumental meltdowns. He's known for mailing incorrect or broken items, then blames it all on the buyer (ABSOLUTELY no refunds). Usually sleazy weirdos like this who run small switchblade selling operations disappear after a couple years but the difference here is that this guy (aka roadsideimports) has cozied up to real pillars of the knife community: Angelo Campolin stocks his counterfeit "Exiled Cutlery" balisongs and Walt Halucha even spoke highly of him when I met up with him in Mystic last year. The guy's got multiple websites and changes brand name every couple years after he wears out his welcome but his websites are all very similar and it's not hard to spot his trademark discourse on them. My recommendation is to stay away. Lots of people get good knives form him for inflated prices, but just as many (if not more) get crap. Not worth the gamble IMHO.

He posted here awhile back and you felt like you were reading a book the posts were so long. Don't remember if he used autoknife as his handel and there is another autoknife that has a good reputation not to be confused. The guy is a weirdo, do a search of his posts if you have some time. Someone may come along that can link you to some of his posts. He wasn't here long, luckily.

I always thought the weirdest thing about Roadside (or whatever his name is this year) was that his posts weren't in all caps.

Another thing was he kept harping about stupid people and he kept saying he sold junk and if you bought junk he would tell you it's junk. I've went to his site and you can buy the same junk cheaper at most places selling the same thing. I have seen some nice stuff there in his defense but they were not cheap. Some people talk highly of him and some don't, choice is yours.

No I believe that's Marc from Glory Blades. He's more reputable but makes some questionable claims about the rarity of stuff he's selling... he kinda tried to squeeze me at Gator this past weekend telling me he could sell at a certain price but I better decide quick because he was apparently leaving early :?

he was there all day..
