13” Wandy
Weird coincidence... just came home with a 13” Wandy and saw the post from lucentcrow. His looks older to me but mine does have solid bolsters, d-stamp, etc ... it’s peeking pretty bad

Re: 13” Wandy
That's a great transitional. Though, none of them have solid bolster. A few AGAs and more modern knives have solid bolsters but all the other production Italians have stamped bolsters. Even the really old flatguards aren't actually solid.
And if you don't like that tiny bit of peek, a few light taps on the left of the sear hole should get it to sit a little better. Be sure they are very light enough that it only takes a little sanding/polishing to get rid of the tap marks.

Re: 13” Wandy
It just occurred to me that you probably meant to say 'lined bolsters' not solid bolster. That one does have lined bolsters. The NS lined bolsters, D-stamps & swedge blade mean that is a true transitional. I see people refer to a lot of knives as transitionals when they only have some of those features. But when collectors talk about transitionals, it is supposed to be a knife just like that Wandy.

I'd like to say you're right but I'm still getting all the correct terms down so I'm just going to call it a lesson learned. Thanks

Re: 13” Wandy
Sometimes it can be hard to tell if the bolsters are SS or NS and if they are lined or not. And the seller often can't understand what you mean when you tell him to look for the D-stamps (or just can't see them). But if you look at the placement of the button, you can usually tell if it is modern or not. The modern buttons are notably higher than the transitionals.

Hi mike
Yours does look very clean, mine has wandy on one side Inox on the other, it has d stamp brass liners too, might be something to that then because both of our knives have slight difference.
