Beltrame Swing Guard

Post by Hombre »

When it comes to Beltrame Swing Guard.... I have only seen them with bayonet and daggger blade.... Are they made in any different blades?

I believe kriss, flat grind, and swedge. I could be wrong. Other members will chime in I'm sure.

That's truly a great horn on that Frank B Swinger John! You don't really see Frank B use much Brazilian Horn. Here's my 11" Swinguard in a flat grind that I had thought was stamped Frank B, but simply stamped Rostfrei. (I thought Frank Beltrame made all/most 11" Swinguards?) This is Buffalo Horn/Flat Grind...

So I dug mine out and realized one looked a little strange. The lighter scale knife has no stamp at all but Frank Beltrame etched on blade and limited edition (?) on back of blade. And what kind of scale is that ? Do I have a clone ? The darker horn knife looks normal to me.

Couple nice swingers there Mike. Never could figure out why a Frank B stamp always seems to be so light. Sometimes barely visible. That flat button in Buffalo Horn certainly seems a Frank B (to me), and a Limited Edition is always cool! Neat scales on the LE, some sort of acrylic? A red dot too?

Thanks, I wish I had kept records of where my knives came from... just never thought of that years ago.

the red dot looks like somebody just stuck some red gunk in there... and I have no idea what the scale is made from. any body out there know if they make clones of these knives? Bill ? I've had this one at least five years or more...

Thank you so very much for the information. I really appreciate it.
I have only 5 Beltrame swing guards but one more is onthe way and that is one with blond horn and dagger blade....
I guess, I have to look more careful to find the ones with other blades.... :D :D
