I bought several knives from him ten years ago. I even bought my first Rainy Vallotton from him...the one that Rainy fixed for me, the rusted knife. That was the first of 8 other knives that I bought. He, and his wife, Joyce are good people to deal with. They sell quality knives! I highly recommend them!!

I’m like 99.99999% sure they are on the “Good Ones” list.
I’ve only heard good things about them.

lol...Mike, I've read of said list but never saw one. I believe it had been outdated and removed. It would take much effort to create a new list, I'm sure. the nicnac site you posted is also brand new to me.

The "Good Ones" list was in the Off Topic Section. I'm pretty sure, but not 100% certain!

Haven't heard from Nick in a long time but he was always a straight shooter, if there was a problem with a knife, Nick would make it right!

Nicnac.net is Nick & Joyce's site. I started viewing that site as far back as 2004 if memory serves. The site was quite active back in the old Bladeauction.com days, but I haven't spent much time on the Nicnac.net site in recent years. Nick/Joyce did business as HORIZON OUTDOOR and likely still do from what I just read on the site.

I've become sort of a historian on shitty sellers and their dirty dealings thru the years, and can tell you that HORIZON OUTDOOR and Nick/joyce have never been mentioned in that context, at least in the various web forums that I've read. My opinion of Nick/Joyce is that they are straight up, honest sellers and if they had something I wanted to buy, I would do so in a heartbeat.

The "Good Ones List" was started right here on Talkblade, but has faded from view. I even found myself on that list briefly at one point, back in the day. Inclusion in, or rejection by the list operator seemed rather subjective and I was expelled from the list over some BS surrounding a photo of an old swing guard I had posted somewhere. The list didn't have much circulation outside of Talkblade. As a small dealer with solid feedback, I found the list to be complete BS due to its subjectivity and the absence of any sort of mechanism to contest the opinions of the list operator. It also bore the stench of being rather political, as who your friends were seemed to have a substantial correlation with one's inclusion or rejection by the list.
