Looking for information on old switchblade

The blade has PATENT on one side and made in italy on the other.
It also has swivel guards on it.. looks really old got it from my grandfather that had passed. Any info would be appreciated.

Looks (to me) like a 7" Swinguard. Nickel/Silver bolsters, guards, button & safety with red dot from the 1960's in Brazilian Horn. Made in Maniago Italy. A very nice piece. I'm very fond of the tiny swingers. How does it function, well?

It functions really well actually... sometimes it will not open all the way but I think it just needs a little oil however I dont know if i should so i kept it the same

Oiling it is fine. It's worth about $150, but it was your grandfather's.
