In August, I stumbled across a beautiful Challenge Flylock with celluloid tortoise scales. It was a solid knife as far as I could tell with no obvious broken parts. Having no experience with switchblades, much less something like this circa 1918 - 1923, really did admire it but felt it need a bit of tuning. One of the blades had a bounce or fly back as I call it and it was a bit loose on both blades, but seemed to work otherwise. Did a bit of searching and on this forum found Bill DeShivs and sent it off to him.
Today I received it back and Bill exceeded my expectations, at an extremely reasonable price.
Just wanted to make one more shout out to Bill on the board, as I am guessing he has many before.
Thanks Bill
I love this vintage USA made nearly 100 year old knife.
thanks
Michael

If you like these old knives, you should check out the book about the vintage American switchblades.
