Nice blurry pictures.

Too bad they're not making/didn't make those knives in larger quantity... it's a great little design.

If that knife was made in Germany, you can slap my face and call me Consuelo!
Asto where it was made, I'd guess that Russia or one of the other Warsaw Pact countries is as good as any.
Doubt it is Japanese(doesn't look quite right)can't be Chinese(it's heat treated),too sloppy for Taiwan, too crisp for Brazil or Pakistan, maybe Spain?
Like I said, I don't know doodly about switchblades, but I do know a little about knives, and this one is very curious indeed.

Somehow I doubt it even took a ride through Germany but I've been wrong before.

Could be fron Czechoslovakia(when there was one)or even Korea-they used to make knives there, I had an 11" swing guard marked made in Korea, but I've not seen a Korean knife of any sort in a long time.
Something about that knife says Eastern Europe to me, but what the heck do I know?
If it stumps an expert like your good self, I'm content to be stumped as well, and at least be in good company.

Further researches lead me to think that Spain is a good bet, along with Soviet/Russia.
Spain outlawed switches in the '80's,but there is a similar manual knife made by Andujar(sold by World Knives) that seems to be a switch pattern domesticated to manual operation-a 31/4" blade in a 5" handle spells modified to fit the German law(before they outlawed auto knives, too).
Just a thought, study the shape of the guard and handle.
Still, the blade is a Finnish shape(maybe Finland? they make cell phones there)which makes me think Russia or the Baltic.
Oh, to Hell with it, they don't make them any more!

Until someone KNOWS, I'm sticking with the exotic orient.
I have a Brno Mauser and a CZ-52 Pistol NO WAY the same Czechs made this "curio".

Even on this VERY used Cz-52 you can see the quality that is typical of the Czechs.

If you traded yours for one of Mchenrys knives then it must have been worth a fortune or he owed you a big favor. He's not to far from you.

Pushbutton;Oh dear gawd how I wish it was one of his knives, but alas it was a cheap Spanish navajah with a nice handle.I didn't mean to mislead any one. I'd give 1/3 of my collection to own one of his knives, or his step sons knives. Switchman1
