Al Mar WorTac
I have this Al Mar WorTac and I am curious how important this knife is from a collectors point of view. I have done a some research and learned a little about Al Mar and this knife. I guess my question is the reason collector would want this knife? It's gorgeous and I like it, just curious.

I wasnt going to say anything because I didnt want to sound like I was bragging, but I got real lucky and bought this knife from a collector on Mars and maybe thats why it would be an importatnt part of my collection?

I seem to remember these being a rebadged Paragon knife. You might get more info searching for Paragon.

I don't think these were a very great knife but I never actually laid my hands on one...Still you have the box a paper work so I would say $150+ might be a reasonable value to a collector because they are scarce to find now.
Paragon knives weren't known for super quality and the owner was kind of a fly by night shyster if I remember right. The company kind of disappeared for a few years before resurfacing under new owners 10 years ago or so. I believe they are still in business in Ashville North Carolina.

An Al Mar Wor Tac sold on this site for $225. This is also Arizona Custom Knives.

Your are correct Terry, the new company is Asheville Steel. For those that don't know, Asheville is a small city in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The area is quite scenic.

I remember 15 years ago when Stu Fortunato was selling the Paragon version of these for I think $50...lolfastr19 wrote:An Al Mar Wor Tac sold on this site for $225. This is also Arizona Custom Knives.

I know the Al Mar ones were always pricier because of the Al Mar name and fancy box but really the exact same knife except for the stick on badge and blade etch.
Re: Al Mar WorTac
I remember JerrBear showing me this knife on one of my visits to see him. He was pretty happy about getting it! Damn, I MISS him SO much!!
I will push your buttons--please pass me your switchblades first.

Collectors are kind of hit and miss, most collect specific kinds of knives. You just never know.

Obviously not too important to the collectors here. Sorry, I don't know what else to tell you.Lumberjackbo65 wrote:
