Almost all of the modern American autos have aluminum handles. May imported knives have them.

I don't know much about those. I think some use Ti and others use a steel lock spring.

Locking tabs in liner locks are usually 420 or Ti. 6061 T6 alloy is second in toughness to 7075 aluminum alloy. Marfione customs have used carbon fiber, G-10, 420 stainless, titanium, and both aluminum alloys mentioned. Microtech production uses 6061, for its qualifying attributes, cost and ease of manufacturing. G-10 is half the weight (although 6061 is about as light as can be anyways) and double the strength. G-10 has a little more flex strength than carbon fiber, but otherwise is very similar in affect.
Dalton made some combat autos with full G-10 handles, using a steel stop pin, pivot, spring, screws and button.i have three of these. 2 are for sale currently. Text me for more info: 502-500-1733
