Decent knife; you can beat that price with a bit of careful shopping.

I would caution, the ad says it's an automatic but Benchamde did not make those in autos. I see the thumbstuds still their as well.

From the description I think it's an assisted open.

Benchmade did not make a Griptilain assisted either. The ad just doesn't fit the photo.

It sounds like the seller is trying to create confusion and missed lead the buyer. The conflicting information needs to be sorted out. Until then, I would not trust this knife to be original. The seller may not be aware of the issues surrounding this knife.

FYI, Benchmade won't deal directly with the consumer on an automatic knife. Warranty issues must go through recognized dealer. This may or may not be an issue depending on where you buy it. I've had an edc Benchmite for many years, it broke, they sent it back with no explanation, unrepaired. All this, through a dealer. Just sayin'... I have three diff. models also and love them. Never had warranty issues with them.

Apoparently, almost every other automatic on that site is Chinese.
The Chinese make Benchmade clones.
You figure it out...

Why do people gravitate toward lousy sellers like this? There are legitimate dealers out there.
