I saw it and figured I would post it in case someone wanted a knife like that.

Both the PP's (Paul Panak and PIcklock Pat) make great knives. In this case, at least the shipping is taken care of....

I went to eBay and took a look at the knife. The OTF that Paul made is fabulous. What’s not to like?

Yep they're real beasts. It's not so much the length (which is 11", so roughly the same as a 28cm Walt's Classic) but the mass. Most D/A OTFs use relatively thin blade stock to keep the overall mass and thickness of the chassis manageable. Not Paul's. The blade thickness on his Italian OTF is 0.17" (just shy of 3/16") so he went ahead and made the whole shebang oversized to follow suit. They are truly boat anchors with blades, but that's half the fun!

Here's my brass chassis version with upcycled antique "ivory" Micarta. The brass has since developed a nice dark patina, more like the rear bolster in the pic. I know it's an oxymoron, but it looks like a modern antique.

Here's a nice looking pre-owned SS and horn version if anyone's in the market and wants to save a few hundred Benjamins: https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/sho ... 09474.html
