Or more dollars then sense. (cents)
Re: Found this on Ebay
I’ll just take a wild guess here but I think most of us or all of us wish that the knife for sale was ours. It sure would be cool to be getting 11,767 dollars for a knife worth $67.

Re: Found this on Ebay
Do people actually pay for those outrageous auctions? Maybe they make those bids and just disappear from ebay.

Has to be fake. No way anybody would pay that.

Maybe I'm wrong but I can't seem to find it on completed listings anymore. It just seemed to disappear.JulesVane wrote:Was it really? I watched the last 3 minutes down to zero. I thought it went all the way through(?)whippersnapper wrote:Item was pulled before it ended.

...I've noticed this also on The Bay. Seems they've updated the site somehow. Can't seem to get back to the original listings.whippersnapper wrote:Maybe I'm wrong but I can't seem to find it on completed listings anymore. Re: Found this on Ebay
Here is my theory that I posted on another forum:
I think he's trying to pull a Wolf of Wall Street. He owns some worthless stocks (in this case POS Japanese knives) so before he puts them up for sale he is using his guys (in this case sock puppet Ebay accounts) to artificially inflate the price by creating the appearance of great demand. Then, when he lists his POS knives, people will have the idea that they are worth a lot and quickly bid a ton, before they can realize that they aren't really worth anything.
If I am right, in the next week or so we will see some of those Japanese false buttons listed with ridiculously high prices (maybe not $11,000 but like $200).
And I noticed the listing was removed one second before the end. I would say that makes my theory more plausible.
