Wonder how he knows its ATS-34? I don't recall ever seeing any stamps like that on FB's dagger blades????

I know Tiny has some ATS-34 stuff from time to time in AB/SKM.

Anybody got a clue on this?

I'd be very surprised if it actually is ATS-34... I've only seen them available in plain blade and only in the 9 inch version at that... still..things change all the while... apart from that though.... what on earth is anyone gonna use an 11 inch dagger FOR that it benefits from being decent steel??

Best wishes
Teddy

ps... Mr. Benny... I REALLY like that sig...

Gotta go with Omega here. A few years ago when ATS-34 was offered it was one style blade only and I can't remember if it was standard or Bayo. I do know with everyone clamoring for better steel their would be no reason to make a ATS-34 blade especially a dagger and not heavily advertise that we not only have ats-34 but in dagger besides.I will be very interested in the answer Omega gets.

He says its an older piece that was mixed in with some stuff he just got. Says he didn't order it that way. He describes it as having a "brushed" type finish, although the photo sure looks like a stainless to me.

I guess anything is possible.

Hey Benny!

No.... he didn't say how it was marked. I was sort of wondering, but stranger stuff has been known to happen in Maniago. I got in a couple of bead-blasted 28cm daggers in french point horn a couple of years back and like a fool, sold them! I didn't order those either! Wish I could get them again! I've begged and it does no good.

I may have to bid that thing, if for no other reason than its different/strange. It's got another 6 days to go, so if no body else here jumps on it, I might try.

Late breaking news: One of the members here has got a bid down on it! So I'm gonna leave it be and hope that he gets it without being held up too badly for it.

I think I know what this knife is.

In 2001, a pair of these showed up here. Rather than ATS-34, they had bead-blasted dagger blades. Also 28cm

I'll guess that its a bead blasted piece rather than ATS-34! Either way, it would sure be a keeper!
