AGA Dates

Post by VOSGTC »

I seen some AGA Campolin knives with dates on the blade tangs.

Are all Campolin knives now dated?
Or just certain models...

When did this start?
Are all unmarked models made before a certain date

Thanks...VOSGTC

not saying i started it as i seen very early Angelo Campolin stamped picklock Angelo Jr owns that his grandfather made is stamped ( Angelo Campolin 1947) but i havent seen any knives dated in between up till 2004 or 2005 when me and AGA did the 18" red dot picklocks them are all numbered and dated , same in 2006 with 15" red dot picklocks we did them are all numbered and dated as well , and few others we did are numbered and dated so not saying i started it but Folgore Knives may have been one who brought it back so to speak as before i requested the dates i dont recall seeing any knives from AGA that were numbered and dated.

Everyday production knives aren’t dated. Usually it’s specially designed knives like limited editions or another example anniversary editions.
