Re: Leverlock stiletto?
I was told (By Bill DeShivs) that The Massaro (AKC Slimline) was the forerunner of the AKC Leverletto.

I had not seen that when I designed the Leverletto.

Cool looking knife. I like the derby bolsters.

The "derby" bolsters serve a protective purpose. (Preventing the fingers from sliding onto the blade). This utilitarian approach is respectable and could/should be revived.john wrote:Cool looking knife. I like the derby bolsters.
(Hint to AKC: There's money to be made through incorporating this).

Re: Leverlock stiletto?
A covered lever spring is problematic. Keeping handle proportions correct results in the handle material being too thin over the lever spring.

Re: Leverlock stiletto?
I never discussed covering the spring. The "derby" style bolsters were all that were mentioned.

That was a generic statement, not directed at you.

Re: Leverlock stiletto?
Understood. Perhaps AKC would consider "reviving" (revisiting) the "Derby" bolster. Such a design could prove marketable.
