Barry Adams sold them with those two markings in the 1990s. Not saying he added the wording but at one point he told me he did....He was ( and I think is) Adams Int'l Knife works....

I've had a lot of stilettos but never one with a stonewashed blade. New one on me.

Those blades are "drum polished," which is similar to stone-washing.

Thank you for all the good info especially the story on how the word was put on the blade. I also thought it made it suspicious as many lower end knives have similar styling on the blade. I'm relieved it's an AB. Even run of the mill , I paid 45 bucks for it and I'm very happy. Thanks again Bill.
