My 10" AGA Campolin Fishtail Picklock arrived today.
The knife is beautiful, but tight! I have oiled it, but it still fails to open all the way. I am certain that it will loosen over time, but AGA's tolerances are something else. The Brazilian horn scales are outstanding! (I wish that I could post pictures online).

Oil the kickspring with a tiny drop of oil. They generally rub the liner on one side.

Glad you scored and keep at it I'm sure it'll loosen up.

Glad you got the knife F.P
Should wear in nicely with the oil as Bill suggested ....
I know exactly how it feels when you want to hear and feel the snap of a beautiful new acquisition.
I would love a fishtail for my collection in time.
Hope your well mate.

The scales are to die for (they look so masculine and rugged). The subtle white streaks on the front scale (below the safety) remind me of daddy's old knife. On the back scale, there is a fairly large and elongated white "smear" giving the knife great character. I'm surprised how the blade took a decent edge and the way the blade cuts cleanly. The knife should prove useful.
So many knives, so little time. *sigh*

Give the button a good hard, sharp push. My three Campolinis will do the same thing if i push the button softly or slowly. I'm glad that you like the knife though. Now don't go buying up all of the Campolinis. Leave some for me.

I truly wish you could post pictures too Fishtail. Can you take pictures with your phone and email them at all? If so, I'm sure many of us would be glad to receive them and post for you.

Bill DeShivs advised me to "wiggle the blade" to add a slight amount of blade play without damaging the knife. I did and it worked.
