I love the design But, that's a huge button sticking way up high. I don't see a lock either so one would need to use caution if it ever were carried.

At the price of one of those you probably wouldn't be carrying it.

Whether or not you carry the piece, the high-sitting firing button would make me nervous. Were it below flush with the scales, I wouldn't hesitate. I''m to the point where I wouldn't buy anything I can't use.

It is still a lovely piece.

$672.21 is the price on this one. You could get a really nice pistol and get some ammo too for what you'll pay for that knife.

Well, Sammy, a knife is only as valuable as well as it slices or stabs. That's about as simple and direct as it gets. The piece is beautiful and I'm certain that it is handmade from high-quality materials. How well it functions is what makes the difference. In the copy of the 1963 Firestone Tire Television advertisement, it is "where the rubber meets the road" that's what counts.

Thank you for your opinions and also for the negative criticism. Your suggestions will help the craftsman to grow professionally. Currently in Sardinia only Lelle Floris and Antonio Contini make entirely handmade switchblades, and not industrial like most that are on sale. This justifies the high prices. Thanks again. Dear Sardinian Knives:

I didn't want you to misconstrue my comments. I truly admire your handiwork. The knife is something that I would enjoy as an implement. The labor and product are impeccable.

Kudos, my friend.

I like the knife too! I think it was made as a collectable knife and never meant to be an every day carry knife, but I could be wrong.
