After a number of years (and knives)...

Post by Fishtail Picklock »

I find myself with one foot in the past (the love of the original Italian Fishtail Picklock knife with a long 1095 steel clip point blade) and the modern American plunge-lock and lock back variants for pocketable, "working" automatic knives. Collectable knives are fine but "carry" auto knives are more fun and I can justify their purchase. The logic of "I can always use it" reason always seems to "fly" in my mind.

Is anyone else qualifying their purchases this way?

I have what I refer to as EDC's. There are 7 or 8. I can justify them all. They range from a titanium Wm. HENRY to one of Bill's leverlettos to an old 7" lockback Italian minus the swing guards. My main everyday is a Protech TR3 for the recent past. They are all "necessary". Its probably just you and me that think this way...

Me too, I bought a bunch of Ganzo autos after Amazon stopped selling them. Great edc knives but I sure don't need them all. I bought them for a good price but I didn't need triples of some of them!

I think he meant drawer. Silly, nobody keeps switches in with thier underwear, that's where the dirty videos go. You keep the knives in your desk, so they're handy for emotional support when doing bills or taxes, or in case a zombie apocalypse happens, so you can grab them and bug out.
