Attempting to repair a Paragon Atko 4

Post by Deerslayer »

Hey all. I am new to this forum, but am trying to repair my fathers Paragon Atko 4. It is an automatic knife and about 25 years old. it was his everyday carry for a while but the spring appears to be broken. if anyone has any expertise with this knife it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Welcome to the talkblade, deerslayer!

If it is just a broken spring it shouldn't be much of a problem. New coil springs can be found different places like knifekits.com. You just have to remove the screws and split the knife in two. The new spring is quite easy to install you just have to be a little careful you don't lose the button spring. There are some videos on youtube that will show you how to replace, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpI7xdaqidY

If you're a little handy and get the correct diameter spring it should be an easy fix for you. I have never had that knife apart so I don't know what the spring size is. When you take it apart measure the diameter.
