I stand corrected. That is the S&W Auto 1000 S (Serrated). I was referring to the later knives. The earlier knives were made here and from 440A steel I believe.

The one thing to remember is the wording on knives doesn't always mean too much. The wording S&W USA may just mean that S&W is a USA company and it does not say "Made in USA"....There are some knives made in Asia that go through the PORT of Spain and say "Product of Spain" on the box/knife. Spain allows this for Port fees, and the knife was not MADE in Spain....The really old tang stamps were far more creditable......
