Apologies for the confusion. I was asking about crap knives ( Taiwan ) and for humpbacks I should have said Frank B.

I have Frank B's Limited Edition humpback from 2012; he also made a D2 version I have those in my collection. I can't recall if Frank made it a production run right after he made those two limit additions in 2012. In any event they're all fabulous: 38 cm, coil spring, nickel silver, premium scales. The first one was I think 440 steel; the second one was D2 steel. They were made about six months apart. No complaints from me whatsoever.

What is D2 steel? There was a Frank B. 11" limited ed. dark horn spear/flat grind blade on Meneffects.com I wanted even though the price was possibly high, and the company, I guess is having problems right now? I wanted a different style, with a different blade.
