Scotchman wrote:To all that has a Frank's humpback, how is firing action, lock up, accoustics, & all that?. I want one, if the price is right.
I'll try to answer your questions.
Firing- it's strong and fast, but the coil spring does feel different
Lock up - like a bank vault
Acoustics - does not sound like a standard spring fired stiletto
Fit & Finish - excellent
Next: I'm looking for my D2 version

I check daily as well Chris, and I'll definitely let you know when I see them available. No email needed really, unless it has a link to a special check out area!JulesVane wrote:Pat, I check on a daily basis. Just in case they lost my email address. I'm sure Walt wouldn't of even put up the "Coming Soon" sign if he hadn't thought they were. Been quite a while. In fact, I've broken into my Walt's Piggy Bank and sent some to Angelo lol!

By the way John, I love all of those thank you for posting pics. It's great how the hole on the blade is drilled all the way through in the older style.

Hi mick,
This the D2 version scaled in genuine white mother of pearl (mop can be really difficult to photograph). I have too many knives I can't recall if I have another version of the D2 I'll keep looking.

Outstanding collection John! Just goes to show to try and grab 'em while you can (IF you can $). Never realized how limited a limited edition can be. These aren't just limited, they are apparently as scarce as hen's teeth! As I mentioned, I don't believe I've ever seen any for sale. Thanks for posting these great pieces John!

Hi JV,
Limited editions are just that. Once they're gone they're gone. They are seldom seen for sale. Frank hasn't made a limited addition knife for about four years. The limited additions are made from higher-quality materials such as nickel silver for the bolsters, safeties and buttons and premium scale material. Whether it be dark horn, mother of pearl or everything in between you'll find that the material used is awesome. There is more attention paid to the fit and finish. They can number as few as 10 or less or as many as 300. They are sometimes numbered and dated. These humpbacks have the Italian government's stamp of quality; the with the "M" inside the "Q" and the stamp is registered. I can only recall Frank's ltd. ed. knives having this stamp.
Thank you for your compliment,
John
