Limited AB 9"
This was my first, what I hope is real, Italian stiletto purchase about a year or so ago. Demascus bayonet blade with AB 2000 laser etched on front of tang with 05/50 etched on the backside. Not sure what material the scales are made from? She's tight for sure, no play, sits deep and right in the middle.
Is anyone familiar with this limited number run AB piece, that's if it's genuine?
Thanks again!

Re: Limited AB 9"
I thought so too Tom, thanks for your input. I just haven't seen that type of stamp for AB since this piece.
Re: Limited AB 9"
The scale material looks like olive wood and like Tom said it is a genuine Armando Beltrame.

Nice to know! Any idea on a value? I really love this blade, great snap on this one!john wrote:The scale material looks like olive wood and like Tom said it is a genuine Armando Beltrame.

I had one sort of like it. The handles on the one I owned were faux briar wood. It had a flat grind blade that was not damascus. It was worth about $60. Your is probably worth slightly more.

Nice, was that directly from AB in that box? Is yours numbered also?Jackalope wrote:I had one sort of like it. The handles on the one I owned were faux briar wood. It had a flat grind blade that was not damascus. It was worth about $60. Your is probably worth slightly more.

Not an expert but I think the scales are briar burl. Smoke many pipes and they have that grain. JMHO

Yes, briar burl. I forgot to stick that in there. Mine was not numbered as I recall. They use to come direct from Italy in the blue boxes. I sold this one but still have a 9" buffalo horn in the blue box. I ordered that on direct from there site years ago. It's dead mint.
Re: Limited AB 9"
I should have blown up the photos or I should be using my PC to view photos. That must be made from briar wood an not olive. It looks like the Talkblade Forum knife.

Was there a special knife made for TB before? That's cool, it'd be great IF this was it?john wrote:I should have blown up the photos. That must be made from briar wood an not olive. It looks like the Talkblade Forum knife.

Oops!
I meant the scale material. The TB forum knives made in 2004 and 2011/12 where both lever locks scaled in briar wood.

Re: Limited AB 9"
Hello!
With some delay, I'm posting something about this knife.
It is a "Millennium Series" knife, I well remember when we did that limited series in year 2000. Real briarwood handle and damascus blade.
TalkBlade didn't exist at that time, there was the old SKM forum, hosted on SKM web site.
It's genuine and there are just a few around, so it should have some value.
Hope this helps!
Michele.

Thank you so very much for the info Michele!! When you say "We", do you work with the Beltrame's or are you related? This is a solid knife that I picked up at a Flea market for a Great price! It's got quite the snap to it!arthas wrote:Hello!
