A little help identifying 13" Stag
This is one of four Italian pieces I've recently picked up locally. I just wanted to know maker possibly/authenticity? A value on it would help. Fairly new collector & I just want to make sure I purchase in the proper price ranges. On the back bolster side there is a full brass liner, the blade is polished to a mirror finish & has INOX stamped on the tang.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

It is an Italian. Regarding maker, do a search for "cottage industry" here.

13" swivel bolster stag with a bayo blade....At the moment a good price for this size is around $100. This is about 20 years old ( best guess) most likely made by Frank Beltrame in Italy......

Thank you Tom.
Re: A little help identifying 13" Stag
It does look like one of Frank's unstamped knives.

Yep its a modern build,by where the button placement is.looks well made.frank would be my opinion as well.nice ol stag stiletto, beauty.
Re: A little help identifying 13" Stag
Thanks for the input John & Lance! It's a nice blade for sure! Opens smoothly & locks up tight. If it is a Frank B. that would be great! I have 2 AB's & wanted to add a FB into the mix.

Frank Beltrame does not make 13" knives. He makes 11" knives. Armando Beltrame makes 9" knives
I'm not sure who makes the 13s-possibly Renzo Beltrame.

Thanks for the info Bill. That Kris blade in my other post though is an 11" with AB Italy Inox on the tang? How does one find out the maker when the only marking is Inox?Bill DeShivs wrote:Frank Beltrame does not make 13" knives. He makes 11" knives. Armando Beltrame makes 9" knives

Everybody in Maniago sells everybody else's product- they even put their own names on the product.

I like the "Chunky" Stag. Nice find. First picklock I had in high school was a "Chunky" Stag 9". That was almost 50 years ago. Where has the time gone.
