The "good ones list" used to be pinned at the top of the page of this forum. Recently it was decided to let it sink down because it needs updating. Here is the list...

A couple of members here have a set of 3; the 9",11" & 15"(or 16"?)
There's a 15 or 16" AGA Maltese Cross? I don't think I've seen one of those. Could you be thinking of the Siciliano that was made by the same company around the same time.

Truth be told, I can't find any 15" or 16" Maltese knives anywhere either???
I'm just saying what two well known and respected members of this forum have mentioned to me ...

So, as one of the 'newbies' here; am I correct saying that the 16" knife shown above is a 16" "Maltese Style" knife; but not by AGA Campolin?

it is made by AGA , if you look close at stamp on blade it is stamped ( AGA Campolin Maniago-Italy 2010), it is a maltese bolster picklock knife but was sold as the "Danuvius" .

The Danuvius (aka Danube in Latin) was very popular for a while, like $500-600 worth, then fell into disfavor because of operating issues, so prices fell about half that or less. I owe elkabong a response because I have the set of sizes in decently matched Brazillian. They're in my office, somewhere ...

I'm willing to sell them for what I have in them, but until I find them and research my costs, maybe photograph them, it's just one more thing on my to do list. I hate getting old and slow.

Hi Dave;
Thanks for the follow up. However, the price ranges you mention, even at 1/2 of $500.-$600. per knife are WAY out of my 'price range/budget'. I'm just getting into this as a 'beginner' & not really looking to start an 'exclusive' collection. That's why the 11' AGA Campolin Maltese appeals to me. It's a great looking knife & at $115. 'shipped'; a great ( & for me) a very affordable price too.

So please, don't go searching for them on my account. I'm getting old too & definitely prefer relaxing over frustratedly searching for something....

*** Segue----, I lost my car, shop, & house keys on Monday. I know they're in my house SOMEWHERE! cuz I used them to get in. But do you think I can find 'em? No sir! Even my wife & 2 daughters have helped look. All to no avail. I HATE when that happens! (See: Getting old)...LOL! ***

So I bought a "TILE" key finder for when I (hopefully) do find 'em...........
