hi:
because of of the bargain price, and because of the lack of pictures,i felt it would be wise to make sure that you know the difference between a swivel bolster lock and a pick lock,i dont mean to be a jerk, but i've seen this mistake many times and would hate to have to return it to you-thanks =george

Thank you for information. I have both ways on these knives. I have sold a few of these here Sharper Deals and EBay ( when I do not get caught). No complaints from of them. I have read some different books or material on these and there is no clear definition on them as far as I could tell.
Thank you for your help. I will Do some more investigation
But thank you
John

here's the diff.picklock stilettos were discontinued in the late 50's-early 60's,a good place to start is that if you can move any one of the bolsters in a swiveling motion it is not a picklock, maybe i should refer your question to an UNDISPUTED expert and get back to you later g

Hi George. Hard to believe a guy that says he's been selling them yet doesn't know the difference. He says he's even read different books and he can see no clear difference (definition)? Gee George, you haven't even seen a picture of it? Sounds shady, at best. Seems a pretty simple question to ask him would be: "How does he close it?"

If you have to explain it to him, you're better off not buying it... "i have both ways on these knives ... no complaints from of them" ... aside from the grammatical fallacies here it doesn't really sound like this person is a "stiletto guy" so to speak...

I have gone out of my way to buy Frank Beltrame Picklocks. You can buy modern picklock autos if you seek them out.

Good luck

X2 for JulesVane comment on asking him how he closes it. His answer might clear up some confusion.

Not really, because a swivel bolster can be closed like a pick lock. I admit that I had no clue how a swivel bolster worked on my first modern stiletto because the only other ones I had ever handled were old picks. I bet I closed my first knife wrong for a couple months until I found the internet and switchblade forums.

You could send him a picture asking if the bolster swivels like this...If the bolster won't move it is probably a pick lock. The pic should make it clearer than trying to explain things by words.

George, is English not the guys first language because he doesn't make much sense. Also, he says he has sold at sharperdeals and ebay so he must have been able to post pictures in the past. Why can't he show you a pic now?
