Very interesting. Thank you for your time in taking the pictures Ian. I am definitely looking into acquiring one of these.

Thanks for posting pics of that razor Ian, I remember a friend of mine getting one as a gift from his girlfriend for Christmas, this was back in 1965, that brought back a lot of memories from that time 8) :D :!:

Hi All,

I recently inherited this German trap door knife signed "Bonsa, Solingen".

I gather that it is a single-action from the 1950s or 1960s? Previous messages in this thread suggest that it is rare. Is this true?

Thanks for your help!

Produced from the middle 1950s through 1982.
Not common, but not particularly rare as far as vintage knives go.

Thanks, Bill. It sounds like "rare" might be an overstatement.

Is there any way to narrow the date down based on the logo or other features?

Well, it's later because it has a stainless blade.

This Bonsa is German made. Perhaps you are referring to one earlier in the thread?

I am considering putting the Bonsa I posted about above in the Buy/Sell/Trade board. What is a reasonable price range to ask?

Thanks!
