Nice collection. You've got a few real gems in there. Are any of the new things you've gotten very interesting?

Very nice verity of vintage and newer knives. Some of the older pieces have extremely cool horn scales.
We need an updated photo of your collection.

Great collection Rey
There's something for everyone there.
That pistol handled one looks interesting ,and i love the the otfs s in the top corner of the first compartment.
Has the yellow and black horn bayo blade Italian got a makers mark?
Thanks for sharing these.

That's actually a One-Arm Man Knife. It is one of the most sought-after vintage autos there is.gravknife wrote: That pistol handled one looks interesting

Re: A few of mine............
Thanks for all the kind words. I actually got my first automatic(a Colonial fishtail with green scales)when I was in the 7th grade(1955)and promptly broke the spring while playing incessantly with it. Attempted(unsuccessfully) to repair it using a large hairpin I purloined from my grandmother.Got my first Italian stiletto about 6 months later. That got confiscated by my home room teacher.
Many of my collection have come from friends in the law enforcement community;one of whom used to send them to me for repair. When he tired of them they came to me.
My interest in knives goes back to when I was eight years old and while attempting(unsuccessfully again)to open my grandfather's knife(that I was forbidden to touch)I nearly amputated my finger when it snapped shut on me. I still have the scar from that encounter and was only spared a good ass whacking because he was too wrapped up in trying to stop the bleeding.
I finally(with my grandfather's permission) was allowed to purchase my own knife at the age of ten. I still have that knife as well as the one that attempted to amputate my finger although they did go missing for about 25 years(a long story0.
Over the years I've collected many different types of knives as my tastes changed. From stags to pearls to automatics to multiblades to bowies to swords to straight razors to letter openers to miniatures;everything was fair game.
I've since slowed down a bit and while I still peruse yard sales and antique shops my collecting is now focused on unusual knives(ones that don't look like knives;letter opener knives;etc.).
To answer a couple of questions:I'm not sure whether that knife is marked or not;I shall have to dig it out and check.
The one-armed man's knife is the centerpiece of my auto collection.I bought it many years ago from a fellow knife collector and writer for a lot more money than I had ever paid for a knife. It is in excellent condition and although it is hard to see the blade is etched," Compliments of the A.A.Marks Company.....Maker of artificial limbs" Supposedly these were distributed free of charge by the company to veterans of the Spanish-American War(1898)who lost an arm or a hand.
The cabinet that I store them in was a gift from my wife on my 50th birthday. It is an old typographer's cabinet that has 24 drawers(pretty much filled)that have been modified to hold knives and lined with felt. I also use several old machinists' tool boxes(wood)to store other knives.
Here are a couple pics of some of the autos and a couple of the other drawers.Hope no one minds me posting pics of non auto knives.
