I think the one i have is even older...the firing pin comes out the back...cant seem to find any real concrete facts about this thing...it does dry fire but the knife spring is broken...it was used its a little loose...does anyone have a source for relevent information? Heres a couple pictures...have no idea what its worth not that i would sell it but would really like to know what have...it must be rare i cant find a similar one pictured anywhere.

I have to wonder if these didn't start life as standard lever shell pullers and somebody modified them to incorporate the gun. There are lots of ugly laws applicable, too. I'd guess that Bill could make it right, but I don't know if he would consider touching it because of legal aspects. I'm sure I could design something based on a leverletto, modern lever or Italian stiletto, and using a modern cartridge like a 9mm or .40 S&W - maybe even .45 LC/.410 if you didn't mind the thickness.

There are too many marked "BAZAR" to have been one-offs. These were a production or semi-production item.
I won't touch them.

How are they fired? I don't see a trigger.

I think that the pull unit on the base of the knife is how it's cocked. How it's fired I don't know.

rwarren, I have a very similar if not the same knife/gun. My dad was in the Philippines in WWII,, he said it was used by a philippine guerrilla fighter. It came with a leather case. I just realized the leather case had a sleeve to carry the .32 cartridges. Wondering it they still worked, I went out and fired one into the ground. I was shocked it still fired after 73 years.. I too wonder what the value of one of these are. Not that I'd ever sell.

There is a small button/lever on the one side that is the trigger. I would never carry this cocked. Too easy to push the trigger..
The little button on the pic is the trigger.
