the spring is stainless c70, good steel for spring.
the bolster, the button and the safety I have not polished, in the end I do this.
these become beautiful with time ... I hope so ... of course.
I chose it for the first new plain blade.
is what I like the most.
thanks for your postreply!
greetings.

Andrea, that looks great. But have you considered making a picklock with brass bolsters? I don't think anything like that (other than the old Frosolones and Stray Dog customs) has ever been made.
Also, you should put some dark wood scales on some of these brass ones. And I think SS or NS buttons look better on stilettos with brass bolsters.
Don't get me wrong, that knife in the OP looks awesome; I am just offering some suggestions for future knives. I like wood & brass stilettos and I would love to be able to get one like that but have it be a picklock with dark wood scales.

Re: Superior PROTO FULL SOLID BRASS Part. 1°
Brass goes well with anything, and can be easily polished to look like new-here's a bit of brass trivia.
Brass was discovered in Damascus around the time of the Crusades. Before that, a similar alloy called latten was used. Notice that you don't see it much? Brass is better.
The 'science' of alchemy was caused by brass. An experimental batch was made, and when it cooled, the craftsmen said something like, "Holy Cow, Abdul, we made GOLD!" Alas it tarnished, which was believed to be the result of impurities, and the race was on to make real gold.
Issac Newton was keen on alchemy, by the time he began to experiment, quicksilver-mercury-was a major ingredient in alchemical formulae. It was used as a flux-Newton, who never did anything half way, used so much of it that he died of acute mercury poisoning.
Mercury metal, such as was once found in thermometers, is non-toxic, but every known compound of the stuff is deadly.
Stay away from mercury, when it was used to stiffen hats, its effects gave rise to the expression "Mad as a hatter" You have been warned.
But brass sure is pretty! And so is that dark horn.
Great prototype!
Happy New Year!
