Thank you for your response. I think that the general consensus is to leave the knife "as is".
I haven't done anything to it as to cleaning.
I was at the Corvette Carlisle Corvette Show in Pa last month and this knife was sitting on a table with a lot of other junk that was for sale. The guy had just put it out. I picked it up not really knowing it's value but knowing old switchblades were collectible. He wanted $50.00 and I got it for $40.00. I knew I got a good deal and thought it might be worth about $100.00. Apparently.... I was in the right place at the right time. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then! Thanks again for your advice.

The price may bring something beyond your imagination.
You found one of those things most of us collectors dream of....finding a vintage Latama in a cigar box.
