Post by scrap'em all »

I just picked up a knife from my friend that i have never seen before. It says US BORDER PATROL on one side and BP 0248 on the other side of the handle. it is an OTF with a charging handle . Can anyone tell me anything about this knife?[/img]

sounds like a dalton but there are many clones of it out there.
the dalton border patrol is a high end expensive knife
the clones cost about 15-20 bones.

If it is a a genuine Dalton, its a decent knife - if you like daltons. The real ones should bear a dalton stamp on the blade.

If it's one of the POS clones, blade stampings are usually absent, except for some reference to the steel, and even that is suspect on the clones.

Street price on the clones is $20- $40, perhaps less on the auction. If it's a clone, dump it, unless you just want it for flick therapy.

Amen Brother!

My thoughts as well! But since the question was "Dalton" - I tried not to stray.

The UT6 is, in my own worthless opinion, about the best OTF to be had at present. -Until you get into DKW money.

Let us all not forget, MOD's promised new OTF, which if as advertised, should give the UT6 a run for the money.

That's about right!

My first shitbox of a car was a 1963 Plymouth Valiant, complete with a pushbutton automatic transmission. Price then: $400

Not that far from the price of a new Scarab!
