Hi from new member.

Post by Doc Rocket »

I'm new to the forum, wanted to say hi. Have read a lot of the previous posts. Thanks to all posters who have put together such an incredible resource. I've been enlightened in a number of areas. I've collected a variety of knives over the years. I have a couple of switches that are about 50 years old. And have built a number of fixed blades and one folder. Am anxious to play with some edge filing and try my hand at building and auto.

I'll try to shoot a couple of pix in the next couple of days and post the switches. Would like to speak with other Canucks regarding knife parts availability.

Hey, Hey Doc Rocket,
T'is the best place indeed for an autophile...Ego's abound and the knowledge to back it up...If you can't find it lookin back just ask straight up and after PB slams ya, Teddy tells ya to see the posting suggestions, Mr. Bigg calls ya a vulture and Missaman outbids ya, realise this.. You have found great company.

Greetings Doc Rocket,

Welcome to the forums.... Take no notice of Dr. Smooth.... PB only gets "techy" on alternate mondays.....(or near a full moon) I only tell people to see the posting suggestions if I can't think of anything insulting to say.... it's true about Mr. Missaman and Mr. Bigg but they're harmless really...

Best wishes
Teddy

Welcome DocRocket. Might as well make yourself comfortable, you can enter but you can never leave. :D :D
Here's a link if you are interested in building your own autos. Have not found much parts here in Canada, mostly over the net and from fellow members.

Welcome Dr. Rocket...Nice to see yet another Canuckian. Per capita, I think we have the most severe springsteel fetish in the world. Would love to see some pics of those old ones!

Welcome Doc Rocket! You have already posted profound words and might not realize it. We had a lot of stuff written here about Canada vs USA etc. a few months ago. Frankly, I didn't like to read much of it and it wasn't always nice.

Your comment about loving Canada but having, shall we say, different feelings about the government sums it all up in a concise but complete manner. Well done sir.

I see we're feeling a little Don Henley today.

Welcome Doc,

Didn't you go to school with Dr. Yermazaho?

Ah, I know the good Doctor. An eclectic mixer of obscurity
if there ever was one. It's about time for "Christmas at
Ground Zero" isn't it?
