OTF

Post by OleRod »

I really would like to buy an otf, but they just don't seem to stir my imagination or emotions. I have looked and looked. Sort of pricey, but that is ok if only I could "go into heat" for one. To me they are sort of bland .... a block of aluminum . No personality or character. Nuts..... I am trying hard to get the spirit, but so far I am less than neutral. :| Must be me!! ..... sigh..... :(

I feel the same way about them. I have owned a few junkers to play with, but the style and looks just doesn't float my boat enough to buy a good one.

Mr. OleRod,

Exactly how would YOU design an OTF to give it "character" and "jazz" it upness?

Not to argue, but this is simply not trueness...

I have about half-a-dozen cheap Chinese OTF's that were available some years back. One of them has a horses head onna butt and another has an eagle's head. Both are copper-colored and have ornate scrolled bolsters. I don't have a camera or computer so I can't post pictures. They are in no way "boxey."

Fastr who is the maker of those? They look like side openers with the pin holes but I do believe they are OTFs!
